During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five Film & Television apps on the Android platform in Romania showcased diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Netflix saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from 10.1K in late September and peaking at 24.3K by the end of December. Weekly active users fluctuated but ended the quarter on a high note, growing from 792K to 867K.

Play Tube - Block Ads on Video experienced a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 4.8K in late September and reaching 9.6K by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 9.5K to nearly 20K over the same period.

HBO GO had a gradual growth in weekly downloads, starting from 3.9K in late September and ending at 8.8K by late December. The app saw an increase in weekly active users from around 97.8K to 138.7K throughout the quarter.

Digi Online showed a modest performance in weekly downloads, with figures ranging between 2.6K and 4K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 25K to 29K during the quarter.

AntenaPlay.ro had a varied performance in weekly downloads, peaking at 3.6K in early November before dropping to around 1.8K by the end of December. Revenue showed a declining trend from $9.4K in late September to $6.3K by the end of December. Weekly active users hovered around 8.6K to 10.7K throughout the quarter.
